LAHORE: Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre is going to launch its ‘Hide Collection’ campaign this year as well on Eidul Azha. In pursuance of its traditional practice, a large number of volunteers and the hospital staff will participate actively in this campaign.
A call centre will also be established in the hospital to entertain phone calls from hide donors, and subsequently, a team of volunteers and staff will collect hides from homes of those who call. The number for this hotline is 0800-11555.
The hospital is also providing ‘Online Qurbani’ services this year too for people living in America, Canada, Australia, Indonesia, Middle East and Europe including UK, Sweden, Norway and Turkey. Online service will be available in Pakistan as well.
The money collected from this campaign is spent on the treatment of poor cancer patients and the hospital hopes that people will donate animal hides to Shaukat Khanum this year as well so that the mission to treat poor cancer patients can go on.
