Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesperson Babar Awan on Wednesday claimed that his party would strongly oppose any constitutional amendment introduced to solely protect Nawaz Sharif adding that all doors had been closed for Nawaz Sharif.
Addressing the media outside the Election Commission of Pakistan, Awan said that Articles 62 and 63 are part of the 1973 Constitution and the Public Representatives Act, 1976.
Commenting on the same situation, Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Khursheed Shah made the same statement that the Constitution would not be changed to save only Nawaz Sharif.
He further added that PPP would challenge the decision to abolish articles 62,63 if PML-N did manage to get it done.
