MIRPUR: The Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister (PM) Raja Farooq Haider Khan said that India was conspiring to change the demography of the Muslim-dominated stature and the identity of Jammu & Kashmir, by allotting property to non-residents in the occupied state.

He said this while addressing the consultative meeting of leaders of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference AJK Chapter at Jammu and Kashmir House in the federal capital the other day, according to a statement released to media late Monday.

The PM said that the right to own land in Kashmir belongs only to the permanent residents of the territory, and condemned the Indian conspiracy of repealing Article 35-A of the Constitution.

“The attempt aims at changing the demography of the territory,” he said. India and its local agents would not succeed in their nefarious designs, he added.

He also praised the people of Indian-Occupied Kashmir (IOK) for rendering unprecedented sacrifices for the cause and reiterated to continue the liberation movement till its logical conclusion.

He expressed concerns over the political victimisation of Hurriyat leaders and activists in IOK. He called for the settlement of Kashmir dispute by the implementation of relevant ‘UN resolutions on Kashmir’.
