ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan Takashi Kurai paid a courtesy call on the Foreign Minister (FM) Khawaja Muhammad Asif at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday. In the meeting, the FM emphasised that Pakistan attached great importance to its relations with Japan.
Taking note of the investments made by more than 80 Japanese companies, the minister invited more companies to avail the investment friendly opportunities in Pakistan in the backdrop of improved security atmosphere in the country, and reforms by the government in policies relating to the ease of doing business.
He also briefed the ambassador about the efforts and sacrifices made by Pakistan to eradicate the menace of terrorism.
The ambassador appreciated Pakistan’s economic turnaround and growth trajectory. He also expressed hope that Japan, as a friend, would continue to work with Pakistan for further strengthening of bilateral relations.
