Gulalai alleges Imran Khan used marriage as ‘election stunt’

ISLAMABAD: MNA Ayesha Gulalai has accused Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairperson Imran Khan of using marriage as an ‘election stunt.’

She said this while addressing the National Assembly on Monday. She also claimed that even after calling PTI women their sisters, Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Jahangir Tareen ‘take them to the party’s public gatherings.’

She also expressed her anger at being compared with the Monica Lewinsky’s scandal, saying it was a shameful act for people of Pakistan to draw an analogy between the notorious case and the ‘daughters of Pakistan.’

Gulalai came to the fore a couple of weeks ago when she accused Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s leader, Imran Khan of sending her inappropriate text messages.

This issue became the talk of the town soon after Nawaz Sharif, the former prime minister, was disqualified by the Supreme Court over the Panama scandal. Due to which she was accused by the PTI of being part of a PML-N propaganda.
