Decision to upgrade govt college in Hyderabad to university hailed

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI) Vice President Ziauddin has welcomed the announcement of Sindh government for upgrading the Government College Kali Mori Hyderabad to a university.

In a statement issued here on Tuesday, he said that male and female students of Hyderabad were facing hardship in getting higher education because of having no public university in their city and the announcement of upgrading the Government College Kali Mori is good news for them.

The HCCI vice president also welcomed the announcement by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali of granting Rs 300 million to the university on the eve of centenary celebrations.

He said that the citizens of Hyderabad, particularly the business community, were grateful to the Sindh chief minister.

He also thanked the elected representatives of Hyderabad and the alumni of Government College Kali Mori for their continued efforts in upgrading the college to a university.
