Punjab playing key role to help KP fight dengue, says minister

LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Human Rights and Affairs of Minorities, Khalil Tahir Sandhu, has said that providing basic health facilities to the common man is the top priority of Punjab government and Punjab government wants to work together with the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to curb dengue, which is a good step. He expressed these views, while in a meeting with Minorities MPA Kanji Ram and Parliamentary Secretary Tariq Masih Gill.

The minister said that the Punjab government has played a proactive role to eradicate dengue in Punjab, and now wants to work together with the KP government against dengue. He said that eight ambulances of Punjab Emergency Rescue Service 1122, along with necessary medical equipment and medicines, have been sent to Peshawar. Minister said that the team of Punjab Health Department is also present in Peshawar on the directions of Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
