LAHORE: A petition has been filed in the Lahore High Court (LHC) to include the name of deposed Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on the Exit Control List (ECL).
The petitioner, Javed Iqbal Jaffery, adopted that Nawaz Sharif was disqualified by the apex court in the Panama Case, adding that he was violating the court orders by not appearing before NAB.
“Visas for various countries are stamped on the passport of Nawaz Sharif and it is feared that he would leave the country in order to avoid court proceedings,” the petition maintained.
The petition said that many cases against Nawaz Sharif are pending in courts, including money laundering and handing over of Emal Kansi to the USA.
