Rajanpur’s infamous Chotu gang, on Sunday, kidnapped seven Elite Force officials in an attack on a check post in Rojhan’s Kacha area, Rajanpur.
The gangsters were able to kidnap seven police officials after a lengthy gun battle with police.
The abducted officers have been identified as Luqman, Zeeshan, Shakir, Sabir, Jamshed, Safdar and ASI Muzammil.
Following the incident, a heavy contingent of police has cordoned off the area in search of abducted police officials.
According to an alternate version, a police official said the abducted cops were travelling unarmed on a boat in Moro, when they were attacked and taken away along with the boat.
In past, police and army have been involved in several operations to curb the influence of the gang. The gang had surrendered following the army operation last year, but it seems it has now returned to continue to its activities in the area.
