What does NS hope to achieve with his pageantry?
You have filed a “Review” petition with the Supreme Court.
Wait for the response.
Till then, ask your intelligent aides to stop insulting the institutions.
It’s very sad and unfortunate that the ruling party’s main persona Nawaz Sharif slammed what he called a “Conspiracy against him through institutions” aimed at overthrowing him as he also faces ongoing investigations against corruption. He perhaps forgot that the “Institutions” he is blaming are directly under the control of the federal government – which was headed by him and now by his party. Moreover, his appointed Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbassi time and again has declared that “Nawaz Sharif is the Prime Minister”, not Abbassi.
His team members, while moving with rally, also slammed the SC, the Army and the media with abusive language.
Nawaz Sharif rejected allegations of misconduct in all the affairs, saying repeatedly that he is the target of a campaign by political opponents and media. “The media has mobilised an obsessive campaign against my family and me, but you the voters are the ones really targeted,” he said to applause at a gathering of his party-men.
Nawaz Sharif has been accused of owing assets abroad, beyond his means, trail of money for the said property was not proved by him or his family. Also being probed are allegations of unlawfully receiving huge funds, gifts from various illegal unknown resources, may be some international suppliers and contractors. The investigations have stirred speculation that Nawaz Sharif, some of his family members and Ishaq Dar may be put behind the bars.
“The people are with us,” Nawaz Sharif said at the rally from Wednesday to Friday with two stopovers in Jhelum and Gujranwala, accompanied by his party pawns, Saad Rafiq, Abid Sher Ali, Talal Chaudry, Rana Sanaullah and Asif Kirmani.
Only those with vested interest, the ignorant, strayed, ill-informed, misinformed, simpletons, naive, fun-loving “matwalay”, and those who are under obligations joined the GT Road’s pro-corruption rally. No senior leadership was accompanying Nawaz Sharif except at Gujranwala and Lahore, where five federal ministers joined him. Sharif has also been grilled on suspicion that he is using public money for his rally – which is basically just him traveling back home.
Imagine the wastage of state resources, time, and energy.
A convict is heading to a collision course with state institutions, judiciary, and the garrison. Perhaps, this is all aimed at saving the dynastic Jaati Umra throne.
Imran Khan asserts that Nawaz Sharif, and Sanghi Modi share views on Pakistan Army, and its defence policy architecture. The former voices them mutely at lower profile, by innuendos, and indirectly sans provocation. The latter does exactly the opposite. The anti-army inspiration has been provided by such personages as Asma Jehangir, Najam Sethi and Imtiaz Alam, among others.
His main question “Why I have been thrown out?” and “it’s a disgrace of the vote, you have casted, I will not allow this disgrace”, is laughed at – loudly – by all walks of life, in and outside the country. His words have been taken by critics with number of remarks, stating him insane.
Basically he has disgraced the vote and the voters. Today, after losing the premiership, suddenly this inspiration has jumped into his mind. But where was this feeling during past four years? Ministers of his cabinet always cribbed about not being able to contact him for months, let alone the poor MNAs and the general workers.
Being involved in corruption as declared by a foreign agency, which caught the attention of the whole world is a disgrace Mr Nawaz Sharif, if you know the meanings of disgrace. If, at all you claim it a bogus report, why you did not produce the documents to clarify your position?
Another slogan raised by him and his unsighted pawns like Saad Rafiq and Rana Sanaullah is that he will lead a revolution. Main question stands: against whom? Against a government headed by his party, or against the president who is an obedient worker or against his own misdoings?
People feel that the fall has disturbed Nawaz Sharif so badly, he lost his balance of mind. People also fear, he may not stand this descent and may possibly collapse.
Leaders determine a vision for the future and set the goals to reach there – they cause change. They motivate and inspire others to go in the right direction and they, along with everyone else sacrifice to get there. They don’t challenge the law or institutions to their will or to favour them. They appreciate their independent and honest working, because that’s the only thing which sets the right path for the development and stability of a country, which stand really important for the coming generations.
Does Nawaz Sharif know that thousands of his herd have caused grave public nuisance, disrupting life for as many commuters, including patients and students?
What is he trying to achieve by his unruly street power?
Mr Nawaz Sharif, the party is over. It’s unlikely that you be reinstated. You have filed a “Review” petition with the Supreme Court. Wait for the response. Try to present the trail documents. Try to prove your claimed honesty. Till then, ask your intelligent aides to keep their big mouths shut, and stop insulting the institutions. People think, they are insulting themselves and nobody else.
I would like to repeat my words from previous articles: Everything in your life is a reflection of a choice you have made, if you want a different result, make a different choice.
