LAHORE: Defence Production Federal Minister Rana Tanvir Hussain has said that the Lahore-Sialkot motorway would be completed before the next financial year and this state-of-the-art highway would also facilitate Narang Mandi, located in Muridke Tehsil of Seikhupura district.

Addressing an inaugural ceremony of the Lahore Transport Service (LTS) from Narang on Saturday, he said that the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) had strengthened the economy by launching several grand projects which include China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), power projects, motorways and projects to improve transport facilities for the citizens.

He said that the number of buses would soon be increased for the city. He expressed joy over the inauguration of the bus service which had been a long-drawn demand of the citizens of the area.

“The enemies of Pakistan could not bear see Pakistan as a developing nation, and international conspiracies were damaging the country,” said the minister

He urged the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan to bring a change in KP first and then talk about rest of the country. He said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government had asked for help from the Punjab government for tackling dengue in the province.

The minister also said that the PTI chief lacked the capacity to run the country. He added that “political stability” was important for the economic growth of the nation, but some anti-state elements were creating hurdles in the development of the nation.

The minister remarked that the country was about to get a prominent position in the international comity of nations but certain conspiracies were being hatched against it.

However, he said, the people would stand with the PML-N for the betterment of the country and all conspiracies would be foiled. He added that the PML-N was the only party which had an experienced leadership, and the only party which could bring progress to the country.

Punjab Parliamentary Secretary Chaudhry Hassaan Riaz, Lahore Transport Company (LTC) Chief Executive Officer Khawaja Haider Latif and others were present on the occasion.
