MULTAN: At least 327 officials of agriculture department were provided android smartphones equipped with modern software applications.
The devices would deliver detailed pest situation reports regarding different crops with guidelines, a press release issued by agriculture department stated. The software applications would enable officials to know about pest infestation on different crops, losses and measures taken to counter the problems.
The department would also take initiatives in the light of information received through such smartphone applications.
