Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his sons, Hasan and Hussain Nawaz, have been summoned by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on August 18 to its Lahore office, according to media reports.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has also been summoned.

The references would be filed on orders of the Supreme Court, after its July 28th verdict in which Nawaz Sharif was disqualified from holding public office. The NAB is to file references against the Sharif family, Captain Safdar and Ishaq Dar by September 8.

It has also been revealed that assistance will be sought from foreign countries during the probing of cases against the Sharif family.

The case will be pursued in an accountability court.
