Ch Shujaat meets political leaders to consolidate party

KARACHI: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President Ch Shujaat Hussain spent a busy day in Karachi, holding meetings with different political leaders for uniting the Muslim leaguers and addressing the workers convention.

He also condoled the demise of former assembly member Hameeda Khuro and husband of MQM Pakistan member Nasreen Jalil by visiting their residences. He was accompanied by Central Secretary General and MNA Tariq Bashir Cheema, Provincial President Asad Junejo and other Muslim League leaders.

Later, while talking to the media, he said that Ayub Khuro was a senior Muslim League leader; his son Masood Khuro and Syed Parvez Ali Shah’s joining of Muslim League will further strengthen the party in Sindh.

He said that this days, a lot of talking is being done about amendments in the Constitution. He said that before amending Articles 62 and 63, education should be brought under federal control.

In reply to a question, he said that Nawaz Sharif is going against the army and judiciary and asking the people in his speeches not to accept verdicts of the judiciary to bring chaos in the country. He said that all of Nawaz Sharif’s crimes will become exposed in NAB’s investigation.

He said that his mission is to unite the Muslim leaguers, irrespective of which party they are in; we will bring them back in Muslim League and every person will be given an office according to his capability, he added. He said that for this purpose, a committee has been formed which will start its work shortly.
