Relatives protest patient’s death in Badin

BADIN: Talhar police have reportedly failed to lodge a First Information Report (FIR) against a quack who has been practising in Talhar town’s hospital and was allegedly responsible for the death of Shabnum Khaskheli, 22.

Shabnum Khaskheli, daughter of Faiz Muhammad Khaskheli, was brought to the hospital during her pregnancy and died due to loss of blood after a delivery.

The woman’s relatives and residents of Talhar, including women, children and men, led by Javid Iqbal Khaskheli, Faiz Muhammad Khaskheli, Riaz Ahmed, Aziz Ahmed, Noor Hassan, Bashir Ahmed, Gulshan Ara, Loung Khaskheli, and others staged a protest demonstration on Wednesday in front of Badin Press Club against the charlatan doctor.

While protesting, they said that the woman died because of the grave negligence of the doctor and her staffers, and they seek justice.

They also rejected the inquiry report issued by the health department, saying that the report is biased.

The said doctor also conducted deliveries in her house without following health standards.

They said that despite the court’s orders, the police still haven’t arrested the accused.

They demanded that transparent inquiry report be prepared.
