Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua called on Afghan President Dr Ashraf Ghani in Kabul.
They discussed bilateral relations and the overall geostrategic situation in the region.
The two sides also held delegation-level talks.
Tehmina Janjua led the Pakistani side while Afghan Deputy Foreign Minister represented his country.
The delegations discussed ways and means to enhance the level of mutual trust.
