Tom Cruise has thrown the Mission: Impossible 6 filming into chaos after reportedly breaking two bones during a failed stunt scene in London.

Cruise was performing a scene for the latest instalment of the long-running franchise in London. It involved him jumping between two buildings with the assistance of a safety harness. Footage recorded by TMZ shows him mistiming his leap and crashing into the side of the second building.
The actor was able to pull himself up onto the roof of the building but was then seen limping heavily before collapsing next to members of the film’s crew. He has reportedly broken his ankles in two places after smashing into the side of the builing.

Cruise is something of a rarity among Hollywood actors for insisting on performing many of his own stunts. For Mission: Impossible- Ghost Protocol, the actor scaled the outside of Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, currently the world’s tallest building; For 2015’s Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, meanwhile, he was attached to the exterior of an Airbus 400 as it took off.

According to reports, Cruise, 55, has flown back to the US for treatment, forcing producers to push back filming by months.

He is the film’s biggest star and everything revolves around him. The movie’s bosses had no choice other than to postpone the filming.

It is now believed the film’s release could be pushed back from summer 2018 to Christmas that year because of the stalling.

“He is the film’s biggest star and everything revolves around him. The movie’s bosses had no choice other than to postpone the filming,” the publication said.
