All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) Chairman Pervez Musharraf has said that saboteurs and their sympathisers got no place in his party and they will face termination of their basic memberships.

He was reacting to the action of former APML chief coordinator Ahmed Raza Kasuri who tried to sabotage party’s public meeting on August 12 in Faisalabad. In a statement here on Tuesday, Musharraf said that saboteurs were not happy with surging success of the party after party’s genuine workers with their hard work put up a fabulous show.

He said that saboteurs were actually working on the policy that neither will play nor let others play. A saboteur is not member of the party let alone its president, Musharraf said after Ahmed Raza Kasuri had declared himself APML president after a rough with party leadership during August 12 public meeting.

Dr Muhammad Amjad has been party’s secretary general and he will remain secretary general, he said. Party’s central and provincial offices will also remain there where these were at the moment. In a video message released on Tuesday, Musharraf congratulated APML workers and leadership for ‘successful’ public meetings in Karachi and Faisalabad.

He also congratulated leadership of APML allied political parties and said that in coming days this unity will further strengthen to shape up political landscape of the country. Musharraf congratulated party secretary general Dr Muhammad Amjad and four provincial presidents for successful public meeting on August 12. He said that the meeting was participated by people from Gilgit to Karachi.

He however expressed his displeasure over the activities of saboteurs and said that they could digest the popularity of the party and they were busy in doing false propaganda. Musharraf said that party cadres will remain unchanged and same as previous. All the party offices at center and in the provinces will remain same, he further explained. Saboteur who claimed to be the party president was false and he was not even basic member of the party.

Whosoever will take his side will face action like removal from the party. General Musharraf asked party workers not to adhere to the propaganda of saboteurs and follow instructions of the party leaderships. He felicitated his workers on the 70th Independence Day as well.
