Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday has filed a petition to bring back the Sindh government’s National Accountability Ordinance 1999 and revoking Bill 2017 in Sindh High Court (SHC).
According to initial reports PTI’s Sindh President Arif Alvi, MPA Khurrum Sher Zaman and Ali Zaidi reached SHC today and filed distinct petitions challenging Sindh’s law which restricted National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) authority in the province.
“Cancellation of NAB ordinance is in violation of constitution whereas Sindh govt wants to hide its corruption,” PTI leaders urged during the press briefing.
Muttahida Quami Movement Pakistan and Functional League have already challenged the above-mentioned bill.
