LAHORE: After conducting his homecoming rally last week, from Punjab House, Islamabad to his hometown, Lahore, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif is now planning on undertaking a mass drive to reach out to party workers who live in provinces other than Punjab.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is likely to be where he starts his drive, the province that is currently being governed by Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leads a coalition government.

He is reportedly going to start from the Mansehra district in KP to meet the local party workers and leader. This is most likely to take place before Eidul Azha for maximum impact.

However, after Eid, the former prime minister is most likely to visit Balochistan and Sindh as well as south Punjab, according to initial reports.

  1. It is probably the most intelligent the EX PM is doing. He is more used to travelling abroad than domestically. Well he has no choice since he is banned from leaving the country. Well at least he will be able to see his own Pakistan and see if PTI chairman is right about KP being greener and more efficient and transparent than Panjab. I hope he travels as an ordinary citizen rather than as a defacto PM. .
