ISLAMABAD:  The federal government has decided to set up model schools in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas’ (FATA) agencies, to impart quality education to the youth.

In this effort, the government has planned seven such schools where the students will be taught various traits to groom them and enable them to improve their future.

The federal government has taken various steps to promote education in FATA, and this very initiative was taken by former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Governor Mehtab Khan Abbasi.

An official source in the FATA Secretariat told APP on Tuesday that the federal government, jointly with the internal donors, was working to increase the literacy rate in the area.

In response to a question, the official said that recently the government took action against illegal appointments of teachers in different tribal areas.
