ASTORE: Deputy Director Education Astore, Ghulam Muhammad Haidari, said on Tuesday that all the government schools and colleges in the district have been closed from August 15 to September 5 due to prevalent hot weather.
Talking to media persons here, the official said the decision was taken after students were facing problems due to hot weather and were unable to continue their education as usual.
The Education department has been using all resources to upgrade education system in Astore, he said.
The academic staff has been instructed to perform duties with dedication and negligence in said duties will not be accepted.
He reiterated that strict action would be taken against absent teachers.
Haideri appealed students to continue education during summer vacations in homes so that they could pass their exams with high grades.
