Nawaz Sharif rally was ‘against state institutions,’ says Khursheed Shah

SUKKUR: Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly, Pakistan People Party’s (PPP) Syed Khursheed Shah on Monday said that Nawaz Sharif took out the GT Road rally “against state institutions”.

He said this while addressing an event earlier today. “Nawaz and Shehbaz played a big role in disqualifying Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and Asif Zardari, have they forgotten that time?” he remarked.

He also said that when the PPP was trying to [abolish] Articles 62, 63 Nawaz Sharif termed it as conspiracy since he was “thinking of applying those articles against Zardari in the memo scandal.”

He advised Nawaz Sharif to be silent and come back when restored.

Ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif took out a four-day ‘homecoming’ rally, from Punjab house, Islamabad to his hometown, Lahore via the GT road.
