Mazar-e-Quaid, residency floats attract large crowds at Azadi Train

RAWALPINDI: Floats of Mazar-e-Quaid and Ziarat residency, at a special Azadi Train, attracted large crowds at Rawalpindi Railway Station on Monday. Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s historic pictures and cultural heritage, displayed in the galleries, also attracted a lot of people.

Khalid, a senior citizen, said that the Azadi Train had been beautifully decorated and the historic pictures of Quaid were a precious asset.

The citizens lauded Pakistan Railway (PR) for arranging the train, adding that the people loved to know the history of the country.

The visitor also appreciated the cultural floats depicting the culture of the four provinces, Gilgit Baltistan (GB) and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

A large number of school students also visited the train and took a keen interest in the cultural floats and historical galleries.

The business community of Rawalpindi also lauded the federal government’s effort for arranging a special Azadi Train on the occasion of 71st Independence Day.

The train has three different parts consisting of six cultural floats, five galleries and six operational vehicles.
