Independence Day function held at IMCG (PG)

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Model College for Girls (IMCG) Post Graduate (PG) celebrated the 71st Independence Day with zeal and fervour, said a press release.

IMCG (PG) Principal Saleha Jabeen, on Monday, hoisted the national flag followed by a national anthem and special prayers for the country. The function was held at the main hall of the college. A large number of teaching and non-teaching staff of the college attended the event and paid homage to the heroes of the Pakistan Movement.

The principal, in her address, highlighted the day as ‘a turning point’ in our national history. She paid glowing tributes to Quaid-e-Azam and other leaders who, through their unwavering resolve and visionary leadership, brought the Muslims of the sub-continent at one platform, and created a separate homeland for them.
