ISLAMABAD: In the wake of growing environmental hazards, the Federal Government has failed to ensure the ban on the use of plastic bags in the Federal Capital as of yet.
Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency (Pak-EPA) Director General has issued notices, and summoned the joint secretary admin of ministry of climate change, for failing to take necessary initiatives for stopping the use of plastic bags.
Ministry for Climate Change Director General Farzana Altaf Shah had declared that the building of the ministry was a plastic free area. Under the orders, use of plastic bags in the area was banned, however, no has succeeded in ensuring the implementation of the ban orders.
