Delay in development of sector G-14 triggers resentment among allottees

ISLAMABAD: Non-development of sector G-14 of Federal Government Housing Foundation (FGHF), since the last 13 years, has triggered ire and resentment among the allottees.

According to the media reports, the allottees have complained that the possession of the plots, allotted to them in 2004, has not been given to them and no development work has been carried out so far. Even the houses, in street 79 and 80, have not been demolished. The possession of street 72 has not been handed over to them till now. Some allottees were awarded possession certificates, but they have not been allowed to construct their homes.

The FGHF authorities are of the view that the process of taking over the possession in the areas where compensation has not yet been paid is incomplete.

The allottees have appealed to the Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, and the minister for housing, to issue directives to the concerned authorities for early initiation and completion of development work.
