Suspect arrested from Data Darbar before arrival of Nawaz Sharif

LAHORE: Police and sensitive agencies arrested a suspected person from Data Darbar here on Saturday.

The accused was taken to an undisclosed location for interrogation. It is worth mentioning that security has been put on red alert at Data Darbar where former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was to address the supporters at the conclusion of his “Mission GT Road”.

The local police have beefed up security in the provincial capital for former PM Nawaz Sharif’s arrival during the Grand Trunk Road rally.

According to details, the route of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) rally will be properly checked by experts of the special branch and the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) while it will also be cleared by sniffer dogs. Personnel of Elite Force, special contingents of commandos, and police officials would be deployed for protection of the rally when it enters within the city limits.
