The Organization of Islamic Cooperation has reaffirmed its support to the peaceful resolution of Kashmir dispute in accordance with the relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
The OIC said this in response to a recent press release by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs regarding the resolution adopted on Jammu and Kashmir.
The OIC said that it has endeavoured to engage with India to help in finding a peaceful resolution of the dispute.
It also urged the Indian government to permit a delegation of the OIC’s Independence Permanent Human Rights Commission to visit occupied Kashmir to verify reported human rights violations in the occupied territory.
