Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Friday addressed a press conference in Islamabad and claimed that Nawaz Sharif was only trying to save himself.

He told journalists that there was no threat to democracy at the moment, adding that the PPP would not accept demands from any other party.

Bilawal added that he will neither make any contact with PML-N nor pick their calls or go to their meeting. “They are on their own,” he said.

There should be no role of the military or judiciary in the parliament, Bilawal said, adding that he did not want to see institutions intervening in the work of other institutions.

Giving his reaction on the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)’s GT Road Rally, the PPP chief said: “It’s quite upsetting to see him (Nawaz) doing contempt of court with every speech he’s making,” adding, “it appears the contempt of court notices are only for PPP.”

Responding to a question, Bilawal said that there is no possibility of ‘minus-one’ formula in the PPP.

The PPP chief condemned alleged enforced disappearances in Sindh.

Bilawal claimed that Sindh’s accountability commission will be more successful than National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

“If KP can pass its own Ehtisaab Commission then why can’t Sindh,” he said.
