ISLAMABAD: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) announced on Friday the ‘admission schedule’ of its merit-based programmes offered in Autumn, 2017.
The last date for the admissions is September 5. The programmes offered include: PhD, MS/MPhil in Commonwealth of Learning (COL); MBA/MPA, MSc in Statistics; and MSc in Public Nutrition.
Those interested in getting admissions in these programmes have been advised to send their application form directly to the concerned department, without admission fee, before the stipulated date.
Admission forms of these programmes could also be downloaded from the university’s official website.
Tests and interviews for the admissions would be held from October 15 to 20, which will be intimated by the concerned department. Merit list would be displayed at the university’s website on October 31.
According to the directions given by Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Shahid Siddiqui, all the departments will be strictly following the prescribed merit criteria, in order to encourage the talented and deserving students. This is also aimed to ensure quality education at higher level.
