PML-N calls road rally a milestone to win next polls

— Sana says Nawaz Sharif’s journey not against anybody, but about Pakistan’s future

Punjab Minister for Law Rana Sanaullah on Thursday said that every passing day has been proving love for Nawaz Sharif among the masses and the successful rally of the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) would be a milestone to win the next general elections.

Talking to a private TV channel, he said that the opposition always did politics of criticism that was the reason they were raising just questions over the rally instead of appreciating the peaceful rally. He said that journey of Nawaz Sharif from Islamabad to Lahore would not be against anybody but this was all about the future of Pakistan.

He said that Muhammad Nawaz Sharif lived in hearts of workers and this spirit to be remembered for decades. He said that the rally would be joined by the people as it would pass through different cities.

Talking to another channel, the law minister said that the PML-N rally led by Nawaz Sharif was being accorded warm welcome on the GT Road. He said the people loved Nawaz Sharif and that was why they were receiving their leader in large number at different spots.

The PML-N workers and local leaders along with general public started gathering along the road hours before the arrival of their beloved leader and such enthusiast crowd would be witnessed on the rest leg of his journey, he added. He said the people’s participation in Nawaz’s rally showed that he was a popular leader of the country, which would also be proved with the PML-N’s victory in the next elections.

Board of Investment (BoI) Chairman Miftah Ismail said that Nawaz Sharif was an asset for the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) and the country. The people had selected PML-N with thumping majority and elected thrice Nawaz Sharif as the prime minister to run the affairs of the state, he said.

Commenting on the rally, he said that like other political parties, the former prime minister had also held the right to go in the public for apprising them about reservations over the decision. Nawaz Sharif was most important figure and the people had great attachment with their leader, he said.

Addressing the participants at Jehlum, PML-N Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Amir Muqam said that people were not ready to accept anyone except Muhammad Nawaz Sharif as the prime minister. He said that the people’s enthusiasm to have a glimpse of their leader showed that Nawaz Sharif was the real prime minister.

He said that the former prime minister was a dynamic leader, who lived in the hearts of people and no one could remove that love. He lauded PML-N workers and supporters for enthusiastically waiting in hot weather to show solidarity with their leader.

He said the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government was raising a false slogan of bringing change in the province as it had failed to deliver and work for the welfare of the people. All social sectors, particularly education and health, had deteriorated because of the PTI government’s wrong policies, he added.
