KARACHI: Sindh Board of Investment (SBI) Chairperson Naheed Memon has said that generation of more employment opportunities is possible by investment in businesses of modern and automated warehouses, supply and logistics, hotel and motel and courier services.
She expressed these views, while addressing a seminar on shipping, logistics and supply chain as an honorary guest.
The seminar was organised by The Professional Network at a local hotel, said a statement released here on Thursday.
She said that the investors can ponder over the aspects they can utilise to benefit from the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Naheed Memon said that “we will have to establish network of modern means of communication, latest automated warehouses, modern railway network as well as hotels and motels”.
Terming the courier as a gold mine, she called upon the investors to come forward to contribute in these sectors.
Pakistan National Shipping Executive Director Brigadier Rashid Siddiqi, The Professional Network Chief Executive Mehmood Tareen and others also spoke on the occasion.
