ENGLAND: Liverpool have rejected a handsome bid of £90m from Barcelona for the Liverpool talent Philippe Coutinho.
There had been talks about a possible move for the 25 year away from Liverpool but that came to a conclusion when the Spanish giants’ second bid of almost a 100 euros, comprising of an initial 85m euros and 15m euros in add-ons and bonuses was rejected.
Barcelona have been reportedly looking for a possible replacement of Neymar, who left Barcelona to join PSG in a staggering world record 200m euro move, in the Brazilian Philippe Coutinho. However, Liverpool have reiterated that Coutinho is not for sale.
Although he was injured for six weeks during last season, he managed to score 14 goals for the the reds and signed a new five year deal which was without a release clause.
Barcelona, who are looking desperate to find their star player’s replacement, have had their second bid rejected from Liverpool, the previous one being £72m in July.
