ISLAMABAD: Nomination papers of candidates for the NA-120 by-election will be filed from today. The seat was left vacant after the disqualification of the former Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif.
Around thirty-five candidates have received nomination papers for the by-poll election, that is due to take place on September 17, according to reports.
The final list of the candidates will be issued on the 26th of August after the papers are scrutinised in detail.
According to reports, Nawaz Sharif’s wife, Begum Kalsoom Nawaz, has been finalised as the PML-N candidate for the NA-120 by-poll.
It was initially reported that Shehbaz Sharif could be appointed as the party president.
