Bhatti Gate begins I-Day celebrations with ‘Rangeela Rickshaws’

LAHORE: The residents of Bhatti Gate, in collaboration with the Walled City of Lahore Authority, arranged a rally of ‘Rangeela Rickshaw’ inside the Walled City Lahore. The rally started from Bhatti Gate with fifteen ‘Rangeela Rickshaws’ and moved around the circular road and Minar-e-Pakistan.

Each ‘Rangeela Rickshaw’ bears Pakistan’s flag on it.

Almost hundred residents participated in this rally to begin the celebrations of Independence Day in a unique fashion.

Nasir Chaudhry, a resident of the area, said that the rally shows our patriotism. This place has always been a hub of peace and tranquillity and we are showing to the world that we are all united under one flag and we love our country, he said. Another resident named Amjad Nizami said that all age groups were present in the rally. He said that such activities show how brave of a nation we are and help inculcate nationalism in the youth.

WCLA Director General Kamran Lashari said that I am happy that the residents of Bhatti Gate have started the celebrations in a unique way. Walled City has always been famous because of its enthusiastic residents and during the month of Independence we are coming across many such unique activities”.
