LAHORE: An application was filed in the apex court for seeking life-time disqualification of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hamza Shehbaz and establishing a parliamentary committee to probe Ayesha Ahad’s allegations.

According to details, a local citizen named Mehmood Akhtar Naqvi has filed the application in Lahore registry. The applicant argued that Hamza Shehbaz has not remained Sadiq and Amin under Article 62, 63 after his behaviour with Ayesha Ahad. The court should order the establishment of a parliamentary committee for investigating Ayesha Ahad’s case, the applicant demanded.

On August 5, Ayesha Ahad Malik, the alleged wife of Hamza Shehbaz, appealed to Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to set up a parliamentary committee over refusal by the Punjab CM’s son to accept his marriage to her and at his behest, the torture done to her by PML-N workers as well as police.

Ayesha Ahad, appearing before media along with PTI candidate in NA-120, Lahore, Dr Yasmeen Rashid and Firdous Ashiq Awan, appealed to the prime minister to treat her case at par with that of Ayesha Gulalai who has also levelled allegation of harassment against PTI Chairman Imran Khan.
