Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shehbaz Sharif on Monday, condemned the attempts of ‘corrupt elements’ to destabilize Pakistan, as he reiterated his support for his brother and ousted Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif.
Hinting strongly towards his party’s political rivals, the PTI, the CM said politics of ‘sit ins’ were not good for the country.
“Our party has always put the national interest before everything. The nation has rejected sit-ins and corrupt elements before and will also aid us in defeating them again. I would advise such people to mend their attitude and stop playing with the country’s destiny,” he said.
The Punjab CM went on to say that Nawaz Sharif is the most popular leader and will remain so in the future.
“Those criticizing PML-N should first review the situation of their own province and then point fingers at others,” he added while calling out his opponents.
This is a big change in politics. The corrupt accepting the fact.
