Azadi train to be launched as part of Independence day celebrations

Preparations to launch the Azadi train are underway at Rawalpindi Carriage Factory with more than one hundred laborers working to finalise models of different cultural heritages of Pakistan.

The train will be inaugurated on Saturday as part of 70th Anniversary celebrations of Pakistan.

The train will start its journey from Margalla Railway Station portraying the genesis of Pakistan and its bright future besides the cultural diversity of different parts of the country.

Thirty six folk artists including singers, musicians and puppeteers have been arranged to accompany the caravan of Azadi Train.

The artists will perform at all major railway stations including Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, Sukkur, Quetta and Karachi as per schedule of Azadi train.
