APML asks NAB to arrest Nawaz in light of SC verdict

All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) Saturday said that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) should immediately arrest Mian Nawaz Sharif in the light of Supreme Court judgment.

In a statement issued here, APML Secretary General Dr Muhammad Amjad expressed reservations over the non-arrest of Nawaz Sharif by NAB authorities and said that the chairman of accountability institution was according undue favour to accused Nawaz Sharif. Under requirements for investigations, NAB should arrest him immediately.

He said it was quite astonishing that whenever Sharif family came under fire, it started criticising APML Chairman General (retd) Pervez Musharraf. Once again Nawaz Sharif has lied that in 2007 General Musharraf tried to meet him that he never did, he justified. Nawaz Sharif was a fabricator. Earlier he denied of any agreement regarding his exile and when he was confronted with the document, it was an embarrassing situation for him, added Dr Amjad.

He said Supreme Court judgment has not only disqualified Nawaz Sharif but made him an example. However he was still not ready to reconcile with reality and still he lied unnecessarily. APML chairman never tried nor even wished to meet him.

APML general secretary said, ‘If you go through the PML-N statements pre and post panama, it will reveal that how General Musharraf has become a phobia for them. Whatever Nawaz Sharif has faced, it was due to his own misdeeds and General Musharraf has nothing to do with it. Third time he is removed from the prime minister office with allegations of huge corruption. I think it is time for him to embrace truth, mend his ways and stop criticizing General Musharraf’.
