ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Railways and PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafique says that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan should resign over the allegations hurled by former PTI member, Ayesha Gulalai.

He added that no other political leader in the past has faced such allegations. He also said that no one from his party has invited Ayesha Gulalai to join PML-N.

“Face the facts. Khan sahib, what have you taught your followers besides hurling abuses at others?” he remarked.

Responding to a question, the minister said that PTI chief cultivated the seeds of hatred and now he himself is being exposed before the nation.

“Khan sahib, where is your dignity now? You keep asking for resignations from other people, now it’s time for you to present yourself before an independent forum and either prove your innocence or face punishment,” the minister said.

Saad Rafique said that his party has decided to file a review petition against Nawaz Sharif’s disqualification in the Panama Papers case. He asserted that a level-playing field is their fundamental right and that no kind of discrimination should happen.

Nawaz Sharif will play a bigger role in the politics in future, he said, adding that no compromise has been made on the respect, dignity and honour of the institutions.

“Nawaz Sharif cannot be taken out of the hearts of people. We will return stronger in next elections,” he said.
