Ms. Marriyum Aurangzeb, Minister of State for IB&NH chairing a high level meeting in Islamabad on June 7, 2017.

ISLAMABAD: Newly reappointed Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb on Friday said that allegations hurled by Ayesha Gulalai should be fully investigated.

She added that the women parliamentary caucus should also play its part in getting the investigations done. She was talking to the media after the oath taking ceremony at the President House.

The state minister said that it is regrettable that a woman was being dragged into politics in such a disgraceful manner. Aurangzeb also said that people should refrain from resorting to name calling and mudslinging while using social media to comment on that manner.

She once again reiterated that Nawaz Sharif lives in the hearts of the people. She said that opposition should play a positive role in strengthening the federation, and that they should keep working towards the betterment of the country.

Aurangzeb stressed that she will continue to work for the welfare and training of journalists.
