Qadri to kick off campaign against Shahbaz Sharif from August 8

LAHORE: In order to launch a campaign against Punjab CM, Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chairman Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri on Monday announced his return to Pakistan from Canada on August 8.

Shahbaz Sharif has also been nominated for the premiership by his own ruling party PML-N to replace his elder brother Nawaz Sharif.

According to media reports, Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the nomination of Shehbaz Sharif, who is main accused in the Model Town incident, as the prime minister of the country, will be a great blow to law, constitution, and morality.

He added that the nation will not accept Shehbaz Sharif as the PM due to his role in the tragedy, adding that the destination of the killers of innocent people is jail. He alleged that Nawaz Sharif will not sit idle and will target the national institutions such as the judiciary and national security institutions after being disqualified. He said that anxiety of the former ruler has increased manifold after expression of complete satisfaction by the people with the judgment of the apex court.
