Investigators probing the Arfa Karim blast have found some significant data in connection with Monday’s suicide blast, sources privy to the development said on Saturday.
According to sources, the capacity of investigation has been broadened after supposed facilitators of the attack exposed identities of other accomplices.
Ten suspects belonging to various banned organizations have been questioned so far, sources told.
At least 26 people were killed and dozens injured when the blast occurred in a busy vegetable market in Lahore on Monday afternoon.
Lahore DIG Operations Dr Haider Ashraf said that the blast was a suicide attack and that police were the target.
Another police officer claimed that the bombing targeted policemen who were providing defence for the Lahore Development Authority, which was involved in destruction work targeting encroachments nearby.
