LAHORE: Lahore Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) SSP Rai Ijaz Ahmad said that City Traffic Police is establishing Traffic Awareness Camps in different parts of the city to highlight the traffic laws among citizens for their facilitations.
The CTO expressed these views while visiting Traffic Awareness Camp installed at Faisal Chowk, Mall Road, along with the cricketer Hassan Ali. He said the purpose to distribute road safety pamphlets with the help of Hassan Ali is to highlight the importance of the traffic rules.
Thousands of road safety pamphlets have been distributed among citizens. Male and Female Traffic wardens helped in the provision of the traffic awareness at the awareness camps.
Cantt Traffic DSP Shahzad Khan and Road Safety Unit Incharge Nazia Baqir were also present at the occasion.
Rai Ijaz further said that citizens must cooperate with the wardens by obeying traffic laws. Hassan Ali is voluntarily participating in the traffic rules awareness campaign and distributing road safety pamphlets among the citizens.
Hassan Ali, on the occasion, said that I have come here with the Traffic police to urge citizens to follow the traffic rules. City Traffic Police’s efforts to address the traffic issues of the city is admirable, he said, while adding that he is proud of the efforts of the police to ease the traffic flow in the city.
