  • Talal questions why courtroom was so full of Nawaz’s opponents

Pakistan Muslim League-N leader Talal Chaudhry on Friday said that opponents of the government have no option for escape and they have to face PML-N in the next general elections of 2018.

Talking to media persons outside the Supreme Court after Panama Papers case hearing, he said it should be noted as why the courtroom was so full of opponents of Nawaz Sharif. He said it was evident that these people just wanted the downfall of Nawaz Sharif.

Talal put three questions before the nation and asked whether it was proved that the prime minister had been involved in any corruption, whether it was proved that the prime minister misused his office and whether he made money or assets by misusing his powers.

Two days ago, it was pointed out during the court proceedings that JIT could not prove the misuse of office and corruption of the prime minister, he said. He said that the opponents could not prove specific allegations therefore the prime minister was Sadiq and Ameen.

He said that the case was not yet over, and it would finish on the day when terrorism was eliminated, CPEC was completed and power projects were executed. State Minister Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said that the opposition parties could not compete Nawaz Sharif in 2018 general election.

He said that the political parties were well aware that they could not face Nawaz Sharif in the next election. He said that the opposition parties wanted the verdict against Nawaz Sharif to avoid defeat in the next elections. The Supreme Court would not give the decision on the wishes of the political parties, he said.

State Minister Abid Sher Ali said that the PTI chief would go mad after the Supreme Court would declare its verdict. “We will prepare a room for Imran Khan in an asylum situated in any corner of the country because he will go mad after court decision,” he said. He pronounced that courts do not announce decision over the statements of a mad group but in the light of law and constitution.

“Last evening I heard a mad man saying that a place has been booked for Nawaz Sharif in Adiala jail. I want to tell him that PM Nawaz is an elected prime minister of the country and will also be chosen again as the premier after general elections 2018,” he said.
