HYDERABAD:  Anis Khaskheli, accused Sindh University student in Naila Rind’s suicide case, has been granted bail by the Hyderabad antiterrorism court on Wednesday for a sum of Rs100,000.

Late Rind was found hanging from a ceiling fan in her room in Marvi hostel on Jan 1, 2017.  She was a final-year student of the Sindhi department in Sindh University.

Anis, was arrested on Jan 6. The defence counsel argued that the only ‘crime’ of the accused was that he and the deceased girl had exchanged pictures with each other before the girl committed suicide.

District public prosecutor Nasir Durrani argued that even if the name of the accused was not mentioned in the FIR his number was hence the bail shouldn’t be given.

Naila Rind’s final post-mortem examination report had revealed that reason of her death was suicide by hanging.
