- State Minister Anusha says govt to raise questions in parliament
State Minister for Information Technology Anusha Rehman on Wednesday said that the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) report was based on dishonesty, therefore another JIT should be formulated to investigate the misleading report (of JIT) on Panama Papers case.
Talking to media here, she said that the JIT went beyond its limit during investigation and it used insulting language. “There is no truth in the JIT report and it nothing but simply a trash,” she said. She questioned that who allowed the JIT to video record the proceeding and who allowed it to monitor the Prime Minister’s Office.
She also questioned that under which law, the JIT spent money. “We will raise these questions in the parliament,” she said. She said that JIT also mislead the court in case of Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar and prepared a malicious report against him.
Anusha said that the JIT report has also lost its importance before the Supreme Court bench. She said that one sided media trail was being staged against the prime minister, but despite all this, Nawaz Sharif would be elected the chief executive of the country for the fourth time in 2018 and again in 2023.
Talking to media outside the Supreme Court, State Minister Abid Sher Ali strongly slammed Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan while calling him a born liar and fraud. He asked him why he hadn’t attended any hearing of the case.
“Why is Imran Khan not coming to Supreme Court if he considers himself so much brave.” He pronounced that Imran Khan was a proclaimed offender and was afraid that he might be arrested if he came to the court. “People like Khan always stay in hiding and then attack their opponents,” he said.
He said that Imran Khan studied in the Oxford University from the money earned by corruption. He also criticised the JIT report and said that it was basically the words and statements spoken by Imran Khan. “JIT’s report is Imran nama and we will reveal it in the court. We will not allow ball tampering in democracy,” he said.
He criticised Babar Awan for filing ineligibility reference against Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif. “Babar Awan, thug of Nandipur, filed a reference against CM Shehbaz,” he said. He said that Wajid Zia paid money to his relative. He warned that coffin of liars would emerge from the Supreme Court.
