Action against sixty drugstores over violations

LAHORE:  As many as sixty drug stores will face action over major violations, as recommended by the District Quality Control Board.

Warning has been issued to the nineteen drugstores who have been involved in minor violations. This decision was taken at a meeting conducted by the Lahore deputy commissioner in Lahore. Additional Deputy Commissioner Headquarters Sundas Irshad, CEO Health Authority, Lahore Dr Saeed and District Quality Control Board members were also present in the meeting.

At least ninety four cases of medical stores were discussed in this meeting. Out of which, 60 cases were referred for further prosecution and 19 store owners were issued warnings over minor violations.

One medical store case was referred to the Punjab Quality Control Board, whereas one was dropped since store management wasn’t present. In all, eighty one cases have been dealt with, and the remaining cases are to be decided in the next meeting of District Quality Control Board.
