LAHORE: Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) members will observe a countrywide strike on Wednesday, July 19, seeking the resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.
Addressing a press conference with Punjab Bar Council office bearers, PBC Vice Chairman Ahsan Bhoon urged the SC to disqualify those nominated in the Panama Papers probe. He also appeared confident that the Supreme Court will logically conclude the case.
Bhoon also blamed Dar for causing an economic paralysis during his term as the finance minister and urged punitive action against “all those who submitted fake documents” in the apex court.
